Lecture notes from Winter semester 2005 are available in PDF form here. We will cover essentially the same material this semester, though the dates will not correspond exactly.
This semester we concentrate on solving differential equations. Topics covered in the course include:
- Hilbert Spaces;
- Ordinary differential equations;
- Sturm-Liouville problems;
- Partial differential equations;
- Transform methods for inhomogeneous PDEs;
- Green functions;
- Methods for nonlinear equations.
