1. Just before classes start you should receive an email assigning you an ID number for Physics 123, Spring 2008, so watch for it. You will use this ID number during the term for various things, including taking the in-class quizzes. If you didn't get an ID number by email you can use the link further down on the course webpage to get one.
2. The course syllabus is on this webpage. Please look through it before the first day of class.
3. You will need to buy at the bookstore the following items:
(a) The text, Physics for Scientists and Engineers, Vol. III, by Serway and Jewett. The course schedule will work with either the 5th, 6th, or 7th editions, with a slight preference for the 6th and 7th editions.
(b) The course packet.
(c) A quiz transmitter.
4. Before coming to class the first day look at the reading quiz on the course webpage and then read the first assignment. Come prepared to answer the reading quiz with your clicker at 2 PM on April 30.
